My name is Ms. Julie Ward. I am twent-one years old, and live at Lake Waccamaw, Nc. I graduated  highschool in 2008 from Columbus Christian Academy. I then went to Southeastern Community College to further my education and receive my associates degree in art in 2010. I am now currently continuing my degree in a batchelor in elementary education at the University of North Carolina in Wilimington. I have had experience working in several different schools under many very talented teachers. These teachers I have worked with have shown me differnt techniques that work in the classroom, as well as given me the oppurtunity to run their classroom and utilize these activities.

From the lessons that I have learned throughout my field experience my classroom will be mainly constructivist, with some behavorist theories incorporated in as well. My philosophy is to engage students in every lesson that i teach therefore captivating their attention, and encouraging learning. I set the bar high knowing that each student is capable of the task before them.  I put great importance on making sure to provide each student with a safe environment regardless of race, gender, or ethnicity. Students can't learn unless they feel welcome in the environment which surrounds them. I think its necessary to form relationships with each students to form a trust, and understanding of their needs in order to be an advocate in their learning experience.
